Let the Lord choose for you

Chronological One Year Bible Reading Plan: Numbers 26-27

Scripture of the Day: Deuteronomy 30:19

When taking a multiple choice type of exam and you do not know the answer, there is always the possibility of guessing. If there are 4 choices, and you picked one as a guess, you have a 25% probability of getting the correct answer.

Oftentimes, we are presented with numerous choices in life. In the same manner how we write an exam, if we have no clue which is the right choice, we would pick the wrong one and fail. It is not uncommon to make mistakes. Overtime, we would even realize that we didn’t make the same mistake once but countless times.

Actually, we can spare ourselves the disappointment, pain and sorrow that can be caused by our wrong choices. If we choose what we want, we might end up failing, most of the time. However, if we let Jesus choose for us, failure is far from happening. If we consult God’s Word whenever we make choices, we will find out God’s choices. His Word is our answer key to life’s toughest choices.

Reflection: The Holy Spirit is given by the Father, to help us make the right choices. He guides us and leads us. Do you turn to Him when making decisions?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, life is full of choices. Sometimes, it is already too difficult to cope up. Help me save my life from incurring the same mistakes over and over, by helping me let Jesus choose for me. Amen.
