Five Eves ’til Christmas (Fifth Eve)

The night before Christmas.

This has been the night of nights because it is on this very night when the Savior of the World came.

Tomorrow is Christmas. The word Christmas originated from the Latin “Cristemasse” which means the sending forth of the Messiah.

On the first Christmas, God’s Son chose to come in flesh so that we can identify with Him. He made His dwelling among us so that heaven can touch earth. He came so that we can experience His world in our world.

May we not lose hold of the reason why we celebrate this day.

“For unto us a child is born. Unto us, a Son is given. And the government will be upon His shoulders. His names will be Wonderful Counselor, Everlasting Father, Mighty God, and Prince of Peace.” – Isaiah 9:6

“Praise be to you, God our Father, for the gift of forgiveness in your Son, Jesus.”
