Only one more day and it’s Christmas Eve – that Silent Night when the first Christmas took place. A baby in a manger. A King in a baby!

Some of the battles we face in life take place in the night. Jacob fought with the angel of the Lord all night. Still, however long the night’s battle might be, because of the baby who was born in a stable some 2,000 years ago, on a calm and silent night, the promise of light in all our tomorrows is sealed!

The Word became a human being and lived here with us. We saw his true glory, the glory of the only Son of the Father. From him the complete gifts of undeserved grace and truth have come down to us.
